Host Bio:

Md Sabbir Hossain works as a Surveillance Systems Coordinator at the Provincial Health Services Authority, Vancouver, Canada where he coordinates the provincial respiratory illness (RI) and healthcare-associated infections surveillance systems for Acute Care. Sabbir holds a MSc in Population and Public Health with a specialization in Epidemiology from University of British Columbia and a MSc in Statistics from Shahjalal University of Science & Technology, Bangladesh. He was an experienced teaching assistant at UBC, instructing Statistics undergrad students in elementary statistics and public health graduate (MSc, MPH, Ph.D.) students in advanced epidemiological methods. Prior joining to UBC, Sabbir worked as a Programme Associate (Research) at the Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD), Bangladesh.

Guest Bio:

Md Sabbir Ahmed works as an Epidemiologist at the Ministry of Health, Government of Saskatchewan, Canada. Prior joining to the Ministry he worked as a Research officer at the Saskatchewan Population Health and Evaluation Research Unit, Saskatoon, Canada. He has completed his MSc from the Department of Community Health and Epidemiology at the University of Saskatchewan, Canada, and was awarded Dean’s scholarship to pursue his study.
